Meet the Chefs: Jagmohan Jayara and CS Rawat
Jagmohan Jayara is the principle owner of India House Restaurants and Catering in Chicago and the new Bombay Chopsticks. The son of a renowned Indian chef, Jagmohan began his restaurant career at 16 in New Delhi and moved to America when he was offered a job at a hotel in Denver, Colorado.
Much of the inspiration for Bombay Chopsticks in Chicago came from Chopsticks restaurant in India.
Ravi S Rawat is the Co-founder of Bombay Chopsticks Chicago & Director of events at India House Banquet Chicago, He is an alumnus of University of Delhi having a post graduate diploma in HRD.
Mr. RS Rawat has over 20 years of experience in the Restaurant Business & is a second generation restaurateur. He has worked In India, Hong Kong & the United States.
He was conferred with an outstanding Event Planner award by KPSNA-08 and Art of Living foundation-09. Mr. Rawat is also involved in charity work & at present serves as a President of Midwest Asian American center a not for profit organization.
Chef CS Rawat, a well known name in International culinary circles, started his career under training of the world renowned veteran Chinese chef Ming, considered one of the finest Indo Chinese chefs of the 20th century. He served as Executive Chef of Chopsticks Restaurant in New Delhi, India.
Chef Rawat is also known for his low-calorie Chinese food, which we feature on our menu as, “The Health Conscious Experience,” and has had the proud honor of preparing Indian-style Chinese food for world leaders & celebrities, film stars and fashion icons.
